šŸ”‘ How to Create Bybit API Key

Learn how to safely create a Bybit USDT Perpetual API key for automated trading.

1. Log in to Bybit

Visit Bybit Official Website and log in.

Warning: Always verify you're on the official domain (bybit.com).

2. Access API Management

  1. Click the profile icon in the top right corner
  2. Select API
  3. Click Create New Key button

3. Select API Key Type

Select System-generated API Keys.

ā€» Self-generated is for advanced users. System-generated is recommended for general use.

4. Configure API Key

  1. Enter API key name (e.g., "OverBit Bot")
  2. API Key Type: Select API Transaction
  3. Complete 2FA verification

5. Set API Permissions

Configure the following permissions:

Contract - Orders - Required
Contract - Positions - Required
Read - Required
Withdrawal - Disabled (Security)

6. Save API Key

Generated Information:

  • ā€¢ API Key: Public key
  • ā€¢ API Secret: Private key (shown only once)

Important: The Secret Key cannot be viewed again after closing the page. Make sure to save it in a secure location.
